CWRTDC SPEAKERS’ BUREAU/REGISTRY

One of the missions of the Civil War Round Table of the District of Columbia is to encourage and expand interest in the complex history of the United States, and in particular during the Antebellum, Civil War and Reconstruction periods.  Its members have extensive knowledge about and an endless enthusiasm for American History.  Many have developed and given presentations on selected Civil War era topics locally, nationally and abroad.

We therefore created this Speakers’ Bureau/Registry as a local and regional educational resource for schools, libraries, historical societies, embassies, civic groups, and other similar organizations interested in hearing presentations or getting more information about the subjects covered by our members.

Listed in the table below are the names of our members who have expressed an interest in giving presentations to share their knowledge of American history.  Included in the list are the topics they cover and their contact information.  Of course, it would be up to the speakers whether they are available at any particular time or place.  Moreover, the contents of their presentations are the not the opinions of the Civil War Round Table of the District of Columbia.  The Round Table’s role in providing this list does not constitute an endorsement of the opinions of the speakers or the organizations represented or referenced by the speakers.

Also, if you are a member (or plan to become a member) and would like to be listed in our registry, please contact Mick Bedard at mick5nhv@gmail.com or our website administrator at admin@cwrtdc.org and provide us the information you would like included.  Membership information is available at www.cwrtdc.org

Last, please remember that the Round Table hosts presentations from the month of September through June at the Fort Myer Officers’ Club in Arlington Virginia. or via Zoom.  All are welcome to attend.  For more information about its meetings and events, visit www.cwrtdc.org or our Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/cwrtdc/  If you are unable to attend our meetings, though, we have over 80 audio recordings of past presentations posted on our website under the Tab “Listen to Past Speakers.”
